TOS TOS TOS
Star Trek TOS is on TV again*, and again I feel I must shut up about how much I love it (four eps in and everybody hates me already) and finally write
something about it. Prompts, please?
Incidentally, the Italian dubbing is hilariously crazy sometimes; annoying the rest of the time. Today they kept calling "Helmsman, Helmsman" like Helmsman was someone's name, although all the names of the people on screen had been mentioned before. Oh, well.
Useless note for terminal geeks: I was very amused when I realized that in Where No Man Has Gone Before they had given Dr. Piper, a.k.a. The Ship Doctor Before Bones' Time, the same dubber as McCoy's! It gave me this hilarious feeling that poor Dr. Piper was just a dummy moved from a distance by Bones who was, I don't know, on shore leave or something and didn't want the crew to miss him. ... see what happens when I take two minutes to talk about it? Oh, do stop me. PS. Star Trek mood theme! *__* Which is particularly useful, since I never set the mood in my posts *snorts* (*) Thanks, La7, for remembering that even in summer we are human beings (or Vulcans, or Betazoids, or Whatevers, depending on the series) that deserve to turn the TV on and not have to repress the urge to throw something at it. Or just throw up.
